The cheeks are an important structural feature of the face. Unfortunately, as we age, we lose fat pads in the cheeks to a large degree. This results in loss of structure in the mid-face. With gravity, this can also cause the face to droop downwards, contributing to the formation of nasolabial lines, marionette lines and jowls in the lower face.
It is important to address cheeks in order to reverse the signs of ageing and restore a more youthful appearance to the face.
How does it work?
The appointment begins with a thorough consultation and assessment of cheek areas to deem whether you are suitable for cheek filler. The consultation and the treatment will be performed by Dr Arun.
Several techniques are used to treat the cheeks depending on which area of the cheek needs to be volumised and shaped. We use a mixture of needle and cannula techniques to enhance the cheeks using dermal fillers, depending on the required outcome.
At the consultation, we will assess the cheek region and the whole face to tailor a specific treatment plan to suit each individual. We consider the ratio of the cheek compared to other major facial features of the face to ensure that the result will be harmonious.
This treatment can be performed alongside many of our other treatments at our Kingston and Mayfair clinics. Sometimes we combine cheek filler with jawline filler, tear trough filler, nasolabial and marionette line filler in our 8-point facelift. The combination of these treatments can result in a drastic improvement to the whole face and a more youthful, lifted appearance.

Some mild swelling for 4 - 5 days. All swelling settles by 2 weeks.
Immediate and long lasting results
The cheek filler procedure takes approximately 30 minutes and you can carry on with the rest of your day as normal. Results will be apparent immediately after your cheek filler treatment.
These treatment typically lasts for approximately 12-18 months before requiring a top-up. This treatment costs £350 for 1ml.

Yes, they can. Adding volume to the cheeks causes a pulling effect on the lower face, which helps to reduce nasolabial lines and marrionette lines and can also reduce the appearance of jowls.

This can vary significantly between clients. Some clients who have lost a lot of volume in the cheek region may require up to 3ml to replace the lost volume. Other clients with adequate volume but desire more contour of the cheekbones may need just 1ml to achieve the desired result.

Cheek fillers can help improve volume in the mid-face and therefore improve the appearance of under-eye hollowing. However, in some instances, in clients who have very deep hollows, cheek fillers can make under-eye hollowing appear worse. In these cases, treating the under-eyes in conjunction with the cheeks is best. It is best to come in for a consultation to analyse the face in detail before proceeding with any treatment.
